The project “Fire Department and Technical Services in Líbeznice” led by GEMA ART GROUP was awarded the title of “Award for Architectural Solution” in the Special Awards of the Building of the Year of the Central Bohemian Region 2020. The building was nominated for “Building of the Year 2020 “, being one of the seven most successful projects from a total of 27 registered buildings and constructions. The ceremonial announcement of the 7th year of the Building of the Year competition of the Central Bohemian Region 2020 took place on 17 September 2020 in Kutná Hora.

The “Building of the Year” competition is a traditional competition show of the best building and construction works in the Czech Republic and abroad, in which buildings of various sizes, a wide typological range and all construction sectors can apply. The award is organized by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Civil Engineering in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians in Construction and The Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic.

Information about the project:

The fire station and the technical services in Líbeznice is a multi-purpose building serving as a fire station for units of incubator volunteers, including an access area for fire trucks. The building also serves as a club room for firefighters and technical facilities for services, and the eastern border of the area is left a free space of greenery with the possibility of walking the planned residential area on foot. The main contractor for the project was GEMA ART GROUP.
